February 2005
As we briefly mentioned in the January
journal, Katja and Keith are now living with Michael. It is a good thing that we are still here
because it is quite a bit for a fully-employed father to take over full
responsibility for two children.
Everything must be planned ahead so that both children are washed,
combed, dressed and fed. Let’s not
forget the tooth-brushing, homework and making sure that everyone is at the
right place and at the right time!
Since we are still sleeping between 6 and 7 in the morning when this
occurs, Michael has to hurry to make sure that it all runs smoothly. Snow and fog have caused school delays
multiple times when school didn’t start until 10 AM or was cancelled for the
whole day. Our presence has simplified
the process during school delays so that Michael can still get to work on
time. Michael now has arrangements for
such contingencies but it took a while to get everything set up.
Our travels in February were quite
limited. One of note was a day trip to
the historical

Except for the trip to Berne and a
commissary trip to Indianapolis, we stayed in Fort Wayne, finished Katja’s room
and helped Michael with such things as dental appointments for the kids,
shopping and keeping the household in order.
On the 1st of March he will have it all for himself because
we are heading eastward to Virginia ð New York ð ?? ð ?? ð ??
